Prescott Studio was founded in 1996, building on the decade of experience (1986–1996) of its founder, Mauro Conti, in the field of linguistic and cultural mediation for live performance — specifically multilingual surtitles, a technique with roots in silent cinema and which today forms an integral part of the broader and multifaceted concept known as accessibility. To mark this anniversary, a publication has been conceived in two versions (printed and digital) capable of condensing 30 (plus 10) years of experience in the performing arts in Italy, Europe and the United States into just a few pages and around 2,600 words.
